MY LORD BLESSES ME SO

Verse 1
Sometimes I have myself a real bad day,
Nothing I say or do seems to quite want to work out my way,
All my best laid plans self destruct right before my eyes,
But lookin’ back later on it becomes crystal clear to me,
That the success of my plans would have spelled a severe catastrophe,
And what first appeared a curse turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Chorus
My Lord blesses me so, My Lord Blesses me so,
His love rescues me, His love sets me free, My Lord blesses me so,

Verse 2
Once upon a lonely time I gave away my heart,
To someone who later proceeded to tear my world apart,
What young hearts think is love, ain’t always love, and so it dies,
But it seems that the God of heaven had other things in mind,
‘Cause he showed me a love that was deeper than I ever hoped to find,
And what first appeared a curse turned out to be a blessing in disguise,

Verse 3
So now I’ve got a new attitude about adverse events,
I’ve got a new way of lookin’ at things that don’t seem to make any sense,
Instead of freakin’ out, I simply smile, ‘cause I realize,
That problems so many times work out to be,
A mysteriously metamorphosing opportunity,
And what first appears a curse turns out to be a blessing in disguise.

Last Chorus
My Lord blesses me so, My Lord Blesses me so,
His love rescues me, His love sets me free, My Lord blesses me so,
His love rescues me, His love sets me free, My Lord blesses me so
My Lord Blesses me so,
