Verse 1
I can see her in the distance, she’s a comin’ round the bend,
She’s haulin’ so many cars that you can’t even see the end,
She’s got pure white smoke, pourin’ out of her stack,
Her whistle’s blowin’, she’s a glowin’ as she’s rollin’ on down the track,

Chorus
I’m ridin’ on up to heaven on a train called Grace,
She might leave any minute so we ain’t got a second to waste,
I’ve got a first class ticket and friend I’m gonna save you a place,
I’m ridin’ on up to heaven on a train called Grace,

Verse 2
I’ve been sittin’ at the station, I’ve been waitin’ patiently,
Why don’t you grab a cab and come on down and keep me company,
You can ride on along, Not a thing you gotta do,
Your ticket’s bought & paid for, Jesus gave His life to pay for you,

repeat chorus

Verse 3
The conductor’s on the platform, he’s shoutin’ “All Aboard”,
Jesus Christ is the engineer, He’s standin’ at the door,
He’s callin’ out your name, He’s stretchin’ out his hand,
This train ain’t comin’ back again, you’d better catch it while you can,

repeat chorus 2 times
(end of last chorus)
I’m ridin’ on up to heaven on a train called….
Slidin’ on up to heaven on a train called….
Straight on up to heaven on a train called Grace.
